What is Story mode on AwakeVerse?
Story mode is a collaborative narrative experience. You and an AI character build a story together — you steer the direction, the character shapes the world, and the narrative develops through your conversation.
Unlike One-on-One Chat, Story mode has structure. There is a setting, a character, an objective, and a path through the narrative. The AI adapts to your choices — but the story has shape.
Available to: All users on all tiers, including Free.
How it works
You begin by setting up your story — choosing a character, defining the world, and setting an objective. The AI generates an opening scene and the story begins. From there, you drive it forward through conversation.
The character responds in-world — as itself, in the setting you have defined, with full personality consistency. A mystery set in Victorian London with Sherlock Holmes will feel like Victorian London. A story set in West African antiquity with Queen Amina will draw on that world.
Your choices matter. The narrative adapts to what you say and do — there is no fixed script.
What makes Story mode different from Chat
In One-on-One Chat, the conversation can go anywhere. In Story mode, there is a narrative arc — a beginning, a middle, and a destination. The AI tracks where the story is and guides it forward with that structure in mind.
This gives Story mode a different feel — more immersive, more purposeful, and better suited to creative and educational experiences where you want a narrative that goes somewhere.
Who is Story mode for?

- Curious minds who want to experience a story alongside a historical figure or fictional character

Starting from a template or from scratch
You can start a Story two ways:
From a template — pre-built story setups with a suggested character, era, and opening situation. Templates cover Historical Drama, Mystery, Sci-Fi, Adventure, and more. Good for getting started quickly.
From scratch — full control over every element. Choose your own character, define your own world, set your own objective.
